DESCRIPTION
A reflective introduction presents the melody and invites the listener into a moment of quiet consideration. The first verse is familiar and straightforward, staying close to the America we recognize. A noble, snare-drum–inspired middle verse sings of our fought-for freedoms, leading into a final verse that looks thoughtfully at what America has been, and through trial, what it still hopes to become. At its heart, this arrangement is a love song to the country we hold dear, offering a sincere and accessible expression of pride, reflection, and possibility.
This arrangement was written for the Aeolians of Oakwood, under the direction of Jeremy Sovoy Jordan, in honor of the 250th Anniversary of the United States of America.
